2025-26 College Football Bowl Schedule

Bowl Games

College Football Bowls are still a thing and as far as we are concerned, rightfully so. The more college football the better and after all, what else is better to watch in December than good old college football?

The answer is absolutely nothing if you love the sport, which if you are reading this you do.

Some of the bowls these days are kind of genius marketing events. The Pop Tarts Bowl in Orlando last season between Miami (Fla.) and Iowa State was almost disturbing as a Pop Tart was resurrected. The Duke’s Mayo Bowl, which this season is on Jan. 2, 2026 in Charlotte, has long been one of the master marketers.

Snoop Dogg and Gronk are both bowl sponsors these days. The Snoop Dog Arizona Bowl presented by Gin and Juice is at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 27 in Tucson, Ariz. with a network television audience courtesy of the CW. The LA Bowl hosted by Gronk is at 9 p.m. Dec. 13. ESPN will televise that one.

There is a Christmas Eve bowl this year as the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl kicks at either 8 or 9 p.m. while Santa is streaking across the sky. ESPN has that one for you, too.

The “major” bowls remain attached to the College Football Playoff yet again this season as the six big ones will host the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds just like last season.

The Cotton Bowl starts things off at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 31 then New Year’s Day should be fun with three quarterfinal games. We have a Noon kick in Miami Gardens for the Orange Bowl, the Rose Bowl keeps its beloved afternoon kickoff and starts at 4 p.m. with the Sugar Bowl getting the nightcap with an 8 p.m. kick.

Traditionally, we prefer the Orange and Sugar to be in competing time slots in the evening like it once was back in the day, but we also understand the rights to the playoff and even the bowls are not cheap and in this situation it would not be fun to flip back and forth… or could we just set up two televisions?

The Fiesta Bowl will go first with the semis. It will kick on Wednesday (yes, Wednesday), Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. from Glendale, Ariz. Then, the Peach Bowl will be at 7:30 p.m. the following day on Jan. 9 (a Thursday).

Boy, nothing says college football like games on Wednesday and Thursday. But it is what it is.

Then everybody heads back to Miami Gardens for the National Championship Game at Monday, Jan. 19, at 7:30 p.m.

The only game that’s yet to be scheduled for this coming season is the Holiday Bowl in San Diego. That game is currently TBD.
