This poll reflects the preseason rankings for the 2025 college football season, with Texas earning the No. 1 spot for the first time in school history in the AP Preseason Poll. The Longhorns open the season at Noon Aug. 31 against No. 3 Ohio State at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The game will be televised live by FOX as part of the network’s “Big Noon Kickoff” package.
