It’s not a huge list of games at all, much less a list of much significance, but the contest across the pond features two ranked teams who figure to be contenders in the Big 12 this year (along with nearly every other program in the league.
We have said for a while now that if you are going to have a Week Zero, give the fans two or three semi-interesting match-ups. Frankly, some of the FCS games are more intriguing that what FBS is rolling out.
You do have Dan Mullen’s return to coaching in Las Vegas. But that game isn’t showing up on the television listings. CBS will head to Honolulu for now ACC program Stanford’s trip across the other pond. Kansas is opening a new stadium and plays a formidable Mountain West (soon to be Pac-12) opponent in Fresno State.
