The Sun Devils and Bulldogs are both 1-0. This is the home opener for Mississippi State, which did not have to leave the Magnolia State for its opener in Week 1, a 34-17 win at Southern Miss. ASU also squared off against an in-state foe, downing Northern Arizona, 38-19, in Tempe.
Last season’s game was highly-competitive as MSU rallied in the desert before falling, 30-23, to the Sun Devils. The latest line has Arizona State listed as a 6.5-point favorite.
Elite was in Waco, Texas, last Friday night for Auburn’s 38-24 victory at Baylor and will head to Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C, next Saturday for Vanderbilt at No. 10 South Carolina in the SEC opener for both teams. That game will kick off at either 7 or 7:30 p.m.
