Crabtree and Crawford on SEC Sunday Night

SEC Sunday Night

We are four weeks away from Week Zero. We are five weeks away from a loaded Week 1. College football is a multi-ton freight train barrelling downhill toward the masses of school color-clad partisans.

So it’s time to start listening a little closer, reading a little more and getting ready for what promises to be a great show in 2025.

So, join SEC Sunday Night this evening (Sunday, July 27, 2025) with Rob Williams and Craig McMichael for another round of outstanding football talk with two big time guests.

Drew Crabtree of the Last Word on Sports will take you outside of the SEC bubble. He covers Ohio State and the Big Ten. This is sure to be an interesting conversation given the trolling from both sides after last week’s B1G Media Days in Las Vegas, where Penn State head coach James Franklin could not even bring himself to say the name of the conference and Indiana coach Curt Cignetti, after his program cancelled yet another non-conference game against a Power Four opponent (they cancelled one with Louisville for the 2024 schedule and replaced the Cardinals, 105 miles from their Bloomington, Ind., campus, with the Western Illinois Leathernecks) in Virginia, said he was taking a cue from the SEC as far as scheduling practices.

Ironically enough, both of those Big Ten programs had, well shall we say, clear paths to the playoffs given the level of competition they both faced during the regular season. Penn State got all the way to the College Football Playoff semifinals by drawing SMU at home and Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl.

SEC commissioner Greg Sankey responded in kind.

Nevertheless, Crabtree does great work and it should be a big-time conversation.

Brad Crawford of CBS Sports and 247Sports, is a favorite of all of our shows on the Chief Sports Network. Crawford is the king of amazing offseason college football lists and always brings it strong.
